Privacy Policy

Effective Date: January 21, 2026

Last Updated: January 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how EZSauce ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use EZSauce (the "Service"), including our website, web application, and any iOS WebView wrapper.

1) Overview of the Service

The Service helps you turn music into visual concepts and videos through a staged experience:

  • Listener (Free Tier): You drop an audio file to analyze. The Service shows a waveform and estimates information such as BPM, drop timing, and mood/style suggestions.
  • Gatekeeper (Sign-In): When you choose a style and want to save your project and generate storyboards, you sign in.
  • Director (Storyboard + Refinement): The Service generates storyboard keyframes and lets you refine them in a chat-like interface.
  • Payment & Delivery: If you purchase credits, we render a video and provide a preview and download.

2) Key Privacy Principles

  • On-device first: Where possible, analysis and previews are generated on your device to reduce uploads.
  • You control uploads: We upload audio and project assets only when needed to save/sync your project or to render deliverables, or when you explicitly choose to upload.
  • We don’t sell your personal information in the traditional sense.

3) Information We Collect

A) Audio Files You Provide

When you drop/select an audio file (e.g., MP3), we process it to generate:

  • waveform visualizations
  • timing and musical estimates (like BPM and drop markers)
  • style suggestions

Depending on the features you use, audio may be:

  • Processed locally on your device for instant analysis and previews, and/or
  • Uploaded to our servers if you choose to save your project to your account, sync across devices, or request paid rendering.

B) Project Inputs

We collect and store information you provide while using the Service, including:

  • style selections (e.g., "Neon City Chase")
  • refinement instructions you type (e.g., "more rain")
  • project settings (timing markers, style parameters)
  • generated storyboard keyframes (and related metadata)
  • render preferences (length, resolution, watermark options)

C) Account and Authentication Information

If you sign in, we collect:

  • your email address and/or authentication identifiers from your sign-in method (Apple/Google/passkey/email)
  • basic profile information if provided by your sign-in method (such as a display name)

D) Purchases and Credits

If you purchase credits:

  • payments are processed by third-party payment providers (e.g., Stripe and/or Apple Pay)
  • we receive transaction metadata (amount, currency, timestamp, and a transaction reference)
  • we do not store full payment card numbers on our servers

E) Usage and Device Information

We automatically collect information needed to operate and secure the Service, such as:

  • IP address, device type, browser type, OS, language
  • diagnostic/performance data (e.g., crash logs)
  • basic usage events (screens viewed, interactions, timestamps)

F) Cookies and Local Storage

We may use cookies and local storage to:

  • keep you signed in
  • remember settings and project state
  • improve performance and reliability

4) How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • provide the Service (analysis, storyboards, chat-based refinement)
  • save and sync projects for signed-in users
  • process purchases and track credit balances
  • fulfill rendering and deliver outputs
  • secure, debug, and improve the Service
  • communicate service-related messages (e.g., receipts, critical updates)

5) When We Upload Audio or Project Assets

We may upload audio or assets when:

  • you sign in and choose to save/sync a project and that feature requires server storage
  • you request a paid render or other server-side processing
  • you explicitly use a feature that requires cloud processing or storage

6) How We Share Information

We share information with:

  • Service providers that help run the Service (hosting, databases, storage, authentication, payment processing, rendering/compute providers)
  • Legal/safety recipients when required by law or to prevent fraud/abuse
  • Business transfer parties if we undergo a merger/acquisition or asset sale

7) Data Retention

We retain information as long as needed to: provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements. You may be able to delete projects or your account within the Service. You can also request deletion by contacting us (see Section 10).
